Rowdy Rhythms

Rowdy Rhythms are a series of fun and easy raps to help teach students vocal counting of standard notation.

The raps are written using Takadimi style counting, but are easily adapted for Orff or other counting methods.

​

These raps work best with a brisk drum beat (I like 130 BPM) and a lot of style and pizzazz from the students. I have successfully used these with K - 6 students, but I wait until mid year to teach the raps to the Kindergartners.
